Johnny Andrean is a chain of Indonesian hairdressers & mainly cater for Indonesians although the salon at Centro aka Kartika Plaza does get a LOT of western customers. So, if your daughter has thick, dark, straight hair then no worries. I have thick dark, wavy hair & always go there for great cuts & colour treatments.
Some people with fair hair haven't been thrilled - search the archives under hairdresser. Centro opens at 10am so the salon does, too. Doesn't take bookings. Also does manicures, pedicures, foot & shoulder massages & sell their range of hair care products which are VERY cheap and very good - I always buy heaps. Loreal products are used for coulouring & creme baths.
There is also a salon at Kuta (?) Galleria (the Galleria where Dr Rudy, the new Ace Hardware & the new Matahari Hypermarket, not to forget JCO Donuts - also owned by Johnny A - are located). But I don't think that salon would have as much experience with western tourists.
