The cooking school is run by the owners of the 'alam' properties in Ubud. They are really all very beautiful and well run. They take this same ethos into their 2 cooking schools, Cafe Wayan (in central Ubud) and also Laka leke just south, an easy stroll through the monkey forest in the Nyuhkuning area. I'm sure they'd also do pick ups. The Laka Leke setting is really tranquil with rice fields and ducks, all set in lovely balinese gardens. they have a purpose built outdoor kitchen with everything supplied. There are a few different menus to choose from, and whoever books first on the day gets to decide what menu there will be that you'll cook from. When we did it there was my friend and i and 2 other girls from Holland. We were vegetarian and the others weren't but they accommodated us all no problem. You get a little menu and recipe book to take home. After all the cooking is done you get to sit down while the staff serve the meal in the outdoor restaurant. It's really great! For more info you can contact reservation@alamindahbali.com or google.
Have fun!
