We went to a traditional village wedding last August.
I had a kebaya and sarong skirt made at House of Komang in Jl Padma. I bought the fabrics from Alta Moda.
I guess I will have opportunities to wear the outfit again in Bali on other occasions.
My husband borrowed a sarong from a member of staff and sash, and bought a lovely shirt from the early morning Legian market.
Everyone we asked gave the same answer re presents, give money. We were advised 50,000rp if you dont know the couple well, or 100,000rp if you know them well. We were comfortable to use this as a guide and gave what we were comfortable with.
Usually the couple live with the grooms parents, so other gifts would be used by the family.

I hope you receive an outstanding wedding invitation as we did. Very elaborate and very different from our traditional invites.
