Not sure what the go is now but hubby & I went there for lunch a few years ago & it just wasn't on. Plenty of other places of much better value on the beachfront in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak for lunch.

Wouldn't bother making a special trip to the Monkey Forest in Ubud. But a half day in Ubud would be lovely - great shops towards the Monkey Forest (BTW you can see heaps of monkeys without having to go in).

The Baik Bike tour would be a great thing to do. You could be collected at 7am from your hotel in the Kuta area, have a scenic tour to Ubud (seeing rice fields), collecting other riders en route, brekky overlooking the volcano, do the ride & all it entails (lunch at Wayan's house etc) then be dropped off at a hotel you have previously booked in Ubud, OR back to your Kuta area hotel.

If you have time a day trip to Munduk is delightful - head off early, have brekky at Pacung Indah with superb views, then down past the Ghost Palace (you can look around it if you want), to Candi Kuning Markets which have lovely pashminas (rp50K max), vanilla pods (I always buy heaps), and other spices. Then drive around the lakes, through a natural monkey forest (masses of photo ops) to Munduk for lunch - and no matter how hot it is elsewhere, Munduk is chilly - lovely. Do some research if you're interested. Sorry, got carried away.
