We have travelled through US of A and canada and for the life of me,we could not understand why we had to tip to subsidize someone's pay packet because they are underpaid by the person they work for.
I think they need a new union over there for their workers.
We like to tip the waitperson in Bali or anywhere, when we have enjoyed good food and/or service. We have found that sometimes the service is a little better than the food. :)
