Maybe you are getting better deals of PB from Melbourne... I fly from Perth and check every airline before I book and I have just booked AA for Sept. PB are $31 dearer before selecting baggage allowance (of which I upped quite a bit on my return trip this time) not to mention meals, best seat selection etc etc...
Pays to shop around! :o)
