route. I have a current ticket with to DPS direct and back via Jakarta. Pricing was no different if both direct, both via Jakarta, or each way different. The new plane is well worth trying and the longer JKT-SYD flight gives longer time for a good sleep and leaving Bali about 7pm is a lot more convenient than hanging out until after midnight. You get a business seat to Jakarta with good meal and drinks, then quiet relax in excellent lounge followed by sleep to Sydney - all good. I haven't yet done the SYD-JKT-DPS trip which does have a longer stop in Jakarta so makes a long day but you are allowed a full stopover so could have a look around Jakarta for a day or so.
