Hi Guys,

Can people who have held a wedding in Bali give me your advice.

My fiance has fallen in love with the pics of The Istana villa perched on the uluwatu clifftop.

We've gotten a quote on having our wedding there, and I am a bit shocked at the cost.

5 nights accommodation (min.) = US$10,000
Villa Function Fee & Village Banjar Fee = US$3,800
Wedding Ceremony = US$550
Wedding Planner = US$2,000

BBQ Buffet Catering = US$43 per head (x40) = US$1,700
Drinks (Beer, Punch, Soft Drink, Juice, Bottled Water) = US$1,750
Wedding Cake = US$260

Singer/ Quartet during ceremony = US$350
Acoustic Band (4 player) = US$890

Decoration Ceremony = US$1,400
Decoration (Villa/Wedding) = US$2,700
Bridal Hair & Makeup = US$400

Generator Hire, Dance Floor & Lighting Hire = US$1,200

8 hours professional photography = US$1,750
Video recording = US$591

TOTAL = US$29,341
(includeing tax)

Do you guys think this is a reasonable price?

I emailed three wedding planners, one was not interested, and I got two quotes similar to this one.

When I thought Bali wedding, I thought less than half the price of a western one, but this is almost on par (a lot of western weddings cost $30-40k).

Looking for advice, Fiance does not want to call everyone over to Bali then put on an average wedding, want something very special - Mainly a great wedding location with beautiful view.

Appreciate any help,

Thanks

James
