my aunt always stays here and my parents tried it last year and loved it, I have visited lots but not stayed there yet.
I have heard breakfast was very good. There is some lovely money changers at the entrance to poppies lane which I had no problems with.
I walked daily from padma st to discovery (very very long walk - well for me in the heat anyway). I think it probably took me 20-30 minutes, but I used to think of it as burning off all the caleries I was eating.
Recommendation - do day trip to Ubud and book into Botanica Spa (near ananda cottages the have a website you can book before you leave); watch the sunset listening to the bongo drums outside the jayakarta hotel on the beach, have your hair done at Johny Andreans at discovery mall and then go out on the town, buy jewellery from Mustang Sally out the front of the Inna Hotel and tell Suzie Q that shes a cheeky one!!, Check out how young the young ones are at the Bounty and have your photo taken in the dancing cage upstairs, have your photo with animals at teh safari park, visit BARC and make a donation, get your nails painted, feet massaged and.......have fun
