Has absolutely everything you need, but is just not quite as congested. Not as much "nightlife!!" but tons of restaurants and cafes. From the beachwalk directly at front of hotel, you will probably walk for a good 20 minutes, and will then be greeted by a gaggle of beach girls trying to drag you to their stall of choice within Sindhu Markets. Just DONT talk to them or wave them away as they can get a little pushy (hope they have stopped doing this myself). Sindhu markets have all the cheaper bits and peices. There is a lovely and very popular lady called Tootsie, she and the girl in stall next door are fixed price, so saves on all that bartering. At the front of the markets is a nice cafe called Bennos, and your hubby can sit and have a quiet beer, while you tackle the forces.
One nice little thing we did on our last trip was to go up to Cafe Batu Jimbar, which is very close to Peneeda on a Sunday morning for breakfast. They have a kind of a market, and food, drinks, a bit of music too. There was a fresh tuna fagita, cooked in front of you. Yum!!Dear o dear, I can hardly wait.
