booking our own holidays for past 3 years, we are paying less now than our trip in 2002, saving heaps. We use Garuda - Sydney fantastic, we have a great relationship with gm of our regular hotel booked 8 rooms last sept all exactly what was requested, so I guess it helps to have confidence in where you stay, we are creatures of habit and have stayed at the same hotel for 15 times along with pretty large groups. we never pay deposit just pay cash on arrival. Always printout emails so we have got in writing all the details, just booked sons trip in a few weeks and ours for sept, when we talk to other guests at same hotel we have saved thousands as the hotel only charges us what they pay the wholesalers, good luck
