Baby Ceremony for 9mnths

Does anyone know what ceremony it is likely to be for a baby that is 9months old?
We have been invited to attend our friends baby boy's ceremony but I am not sure what it is for.
I have done numerous searches on this forum and google but have only found up to 6mnths for ceremonies.
