we went to see the herons and it was quite different from what I expected, they are actually right plonk in the middle of a small village and we felt really weird walking down the street we sort of stuck out like a sore thumb! it was also a bit sad because when we went they were nesting and there were a lot of dead and dying chicks in the ditches and along the road side.
