Fantastic idea! 100 people and $1 a week would potentially raise $5200 per annum. That's a significant amount of money, and would actually pay for the education of many children.
I suggest you contact Rotary or Helen Flavel to discuss your options. For example, Helen has an education centre that also needs funds. You may be able to assist there.
My only word of warning - I would be concerned with one child/family receiving visits from a large number of shared sponsors. Can I recommend you also do some research in that area about the impact on sponsored children receiving sponsor visists and how it affects the whole community. Helen Flavel might be able to give you some insight there.
