Our family decided to stroll through Poppies 1 to find a restaurant for dinner and at the end near Legian Street we noticed the Bamboo Hut - a popular little restaurant filled with people - with black and white checkered tablecloths.
We thought we would give it a go. Oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!
My son had sweaty sandal for dinner - I mean pepper steak.
I had greasy water filled noodles and vegetables for dinner - I mean spring rolls.
My daughter is still chewing (after 3 days) on her sate.....lucky she has her own real teeth...
My husband had baked fish - which was edible - but the fish was the size of a flea.
And if that wasn't enough - when we received our bill they had made a 50,000rp mistake in their favour. Hmmmm!!
No kidding - we have been to Bali 10 times and eaten in hundreds of restaurants - the Bamboo Hut is popular because it is ridicuously cheap - we only had ourselves to blame - I guess you get what you pay for - but I have been to cheap and cheerful before - and the food was great - eg Legian Snacks.
Warning warning - don't go to Bamboo Hut in Poppies 1.
