Hi,

We stayed here for our first trip to Bail last May and thought that it was great. Like you we had a garden view room and the view was beautiful and we had ducks coming for a feed evey morning after breakfast (did not take them long to work out the sifties!!)
The rooms were clean adn quite big and the service was outstanding. The reception staff left something to be desired as they were really grumpy and non welcoming -- however everyone else was terriffic - - the egg lady at breakfast even remembered what you had for breakfast the day before - - she would say to me - -"yesterday you had fried whould you like an omlette today" -- how does she remember?

Housekeeping were excellent and unobtusive -- they turned down your bed every night and cleaned as soon as you left in the mornings - - at least the room was always great when we returned. abd the Air Conditioner was on all the time which was wonderful when you returned and it was cold in the room. - - The pools were great (although we are not swimmers so did not use them ) but they looked good and the local resturants were abundant and cheap - -

I can recommend The Cat and the Fiddle just by the main gate and Don's on the fore shore - - also Manos accross the road from Cat and Fiddle - - all good food and cold bintangs with a surprise at the end of the meal (the bill - - which was not hard to take)

They were renovating the reception area when we were there but this diod not disturb us at all - - the renovations should be finished by now.

We are going back to Bali in September and would stay at Sanur Beach Hotle again only we want to see more of the island so have decided to stay at Tuban for 3 days and Ubud for 8 - - I really liked Ubud when we were there adn want to go back and get to know it.

Bought sandals and shirts from the tailor just up the road from the main enterance to Sanur Beach hotel and they are still wearing well.

Watch the money changers as they will try to rip you off but they can laugh about it when you catch them at it - - just tell them how much you should be getting and they will give you the right amount.

I really liked Saunr and the Sanur Beach Hotel but thought that we owed it to ourselves to get to know more of the island.

I have left my email open if you have nay more questions
