Do not speak Indonesian,
Are not married to an Indonesian,
Have leased property (4 bedroom house) without hassles.
Intend to continue to live in Bali.
Don't find cultural differences to be an issue.
One now is working in Bali (with proper working visa arranged through employer, so no longer does 60 day visa)
For me the hardest part is money.
Whatever visa you intend to use to live there make sure you are financial as it will cost in the long run.
Ok if you are working but wages won't be that great.
Ok if you have a business but that costs initially.
Retirement = no work.
My other recommendation would be ...go spend 2+ months there first to see if in fact it is a person's cup of tea or not.
Holidaying there is a lot different to living there...
