It is a different type of shopping to Matahari, much more Westernised and the fresh food, grocery section much larger.
If you get a cab, make sure you ask for the "main" Carrefour (if that's the one you want) or they could take you to the converted Alfa place that is smaller and with less other add on small businesses.
There is a good asian style food hall at the Sunset Rd location too, on the level below Carrefour.
