We stay next door at the Jayakarta in a private apartment. Surf out the front is obviously a beachy and quality depends on the banks. From what I have seen usually a close out or a real fast wave then a close out, lol! That time of the year the swell is usually solid getting a bit big for out the front hence the close outs. You are prob better heading down towards Kuta out the front of the padma hotel (about 5 min walk along beach). Banks seem to form a little bit better there but still not great. I hire a bike and am up at 6am and head to off to Kuta Reef and further down the peninsula. No traffic at the time and pretty quick to get too. Going to Bali land of the left hand reef breaks be favourable to surf them as opposed to beach breaks, my opinion anyway! Email open if you have any more questions - cheers!
