Area to stay and hotel for single 45 yr

Im off to Bali om Tuesday 16th have been many times and know what to expect but this time will be alone as my friend is not coming what is the best area to stay to maybe meet other people and any tips on late notice hotels which might be fun to hang around the pool and meet others im a drinker but not a big night club party person
