It will be classed as sporting goods and will have to go through the oversize baggage section same as a surfboard. You will be charged up to a certain kilo amount, sorry I forget the weight, but check the AA site, and you will be hit again from KL to Bali, although we were lucky and the checkin guy put my sons body board through gratis.
