Mandira is in a perfect location, and the pool area etc are great , as are the staff.
The reason for the different opinions, I think would be the room types.
The closer to the beach the better, with the worst rooms being in the Superior Tower right at the back.
If you check their website, and hotel layout http://www.balimandira.com/acc_layout.html , you will find that the Deluxe cottages are best (obviously behind the Cottage suites),followed by the Superior cottages, which are still nice, but avoid the Superior Tower.
