Had another wonderful holiday in Paradise and now back to the real world. The kids are back at school much to their disgust and would much rather still be in Bali.
Stayed 4 nights at the KTH ,travelled with Mum,sister and her 2 boys aged 13 & 17 as well as my 2 (daughter 14 and son 11). It was the first trip to Bali for my nephews and I thought that they may be in a bit of a culture shock for the first couple of days .but to my amazement they were straight into the swing of things.
The 2 younger boys went on the Paddy Quad adventure and thoroughly enjoyed it ,we booked through the tours desk at KTH. The kids really liked the staff, especially Hillary, he was very friendly and knew all of our names straight away.
We used the Eva laundry across from the KTH which was very cheap and they did a great job.
Had massages and ear candling at the Sandra spa the girls and 1 guy there are very friendly and so funny.
Ate a the KTH ,yummy fresh ham rolls and home made pies also rice paper rolls which are so delicious
Also at Kedins cafe and La Walon ,always had lovely meals and very good prices
Used a driver named Made his brother -in-law has a tour shop next to the Eva laundry and only charges 50,000 rupiah per hours the vehicle is quite new and air conditioned and seated 7 quite comfortably
Moved out of KTH and spent 6 nights at the Green Garden Hotel. Was a bit worried the kids might not enjoy Tuban as much as Kuta but they loved is as well. The Green Garden was lovely and clean and the staff were wonderful.
Shopped at Diannes ,yes she is very pregnant and said that when the baby is born she will take 2 weeks off and hubby will look after the shop.
Went to the M & M spa across from the Green Garden .They did a great job of feet and hands, there is this lovely little girl named Intang that works their I thought that she said her name was Bintang so that became a bit of a joke for us each time I saw her.
Used the tailor next to the Green Garden for laundry ,it was 10 items for 20,000 rupiah, more expensive than the Eva laundry but still cheap
Ate the the Green Garden , Bubba Gump, Febris, Il Cielo and the Pantai
Had a beautiful meal at the Queen of India curry house next to the Dynasty. Sister and kids had a meal at Gracie Kellys ,mum and i couldn't be bothered going out and ate at the hotel. Also went to Bred talk and the Bali Bakery which has delicious pies and curry puffs.
Had a haircut and cream bath at Johnny Andrean, as always they did a great job
The kids went on a water sports package there was a special deal through the Green Garden for 20USD for banana boat riding, jet skiing and parasailing, they enjoyed it but said that parasailing was scary.
Anyway we are back in the real world, nephew has travellers belly and is out of action for another week, thought this might turn him off Bali but he wants to know when we are going again.
Going again with Hubby and minus kids in June
