Yep its great to be able to see your emails if you need to on your phone..but not at international roaming rates. And as explained to me by Telstra, you are charged for your phone trying to connect to WIFI wherever you are, even if it doesnt connect and you dont use it.
So...turn off data roaming and forget any internet/email advantage you have on iPhone when anywhere overseas, and keep that money for your next Bali holiday!
