A pro camera bloke named Sharkey that used to post here always left a few towels handy outside the hotel room. He would wrap his gear in them tightly and place them straight in a cupboard inside the hotel room.
The theory was that the moisture inside the camera/laptop from outside would not be immediately affected by the low temp/low humidity inside the room and would adjust over time.
Also, by not being as cold when you leave the room the sudden temp change would not allow moisture to be sucked in if you left it wrapped for a few minutes to adjust back to the outside temp.
Worked for us. Maybe give it a try.
