We stayed there in Sep and after being changed to a different room it was ok. The first room was a Standard and it was dark, dingy and filthy and it had a dreadful smell. It had the traditional 2 narrow doors closed with a piece of wood from the inside and a padlock on the outside. They did not meet in the middle so once the light was on the insects would come in. We had booked a double bed but they gave us 2 singles and pushed them together up against the wall making it difficult to get in and out of. I did not take any clothes out of my case because the wardrobe smelt putrid. I burnt half a dozen incense at the same time all over the room to try to mask the smell but it didn't really help much. The next day we were moved to a Superior room. However the "new" room had a few problems. The aircon didn't work, the hot water was hit and miss and the toilet didn't always flush! But the room was quite clean and bright and bigger. We told staff about the "new" problems and they assured us they would be fixed by the time we got back later that day. To cut a long story short it took 3 days to sort everything out because each time we mentioned the problems staff said they had sent someone but, the only problem was no one had told the maintainance man that we had moved rooms!! He had been going to the first room and couldn't understand why we kept saying the things were not fixed! LOL Only in Bali! The pool area is really good with a childrens section and a nice swim up bar, just make sure that you tell the staff to use tongs or a glass to put ice in your drinks! I stopped one from using his bare hands. He had just "cleaned" down the bar area with a cloth that he also used to wipe out the ashtrays then went to put his hand directly into the ice for my drink! There is an onsite massage/beauty lady. The brekky was fine and the other few meals we had there were really nice. We had to ask a few times for them to leave 2 towels as they often just left one or none. Overall the hotel was quite nice with lovely staff, nice garden beds, good location being close to shopping, beach, restaurants ect, has plenty of parking and free WIFI. And, if we couldn't get into the hotel where we normally stay we would we stay there again on the condition we had the second room we were given. At least we would know everything worked. We are not too picky and normally stay in budget but we do like aircon, hot water and a flushing loo! LOL Hope this is of some help
