I've used many like others here but I prefer "HotelClub" as they give you reward points back so you can take that off the next booking. They are also on a 1300 number and extremely helpful when you ring - I booked a night in Bali at the Yulia - I emailed the Yulia for a price and was quoted Rp500,000 for a deluxe room (AUD$61) and then I checked the HotelClub website and got the same deluxe room for AUD$48. No additional costs - what they advertise is the price they charge (unlike some who have a booking fee etc).
Some hotels want to be paid on arrival but some you can pay up front with HotelClub so it's good to check. I had problems once as an on-line booking agent quoted in USD and when I went to pay at the hotel - the exchange rate was dreadful so it ended up costing me alot more than I had budgeted for. So I like to pay AUD before arriving and then I know it's all done and dusted.
