So it may possibly have changed a little. I was told when booking that classes were no more than 15. There were 22 in our class.

The market tour was interesting, but you could only hear a very small amount of the information given. The market is very cramped, so only those few at the very head near the instructor could hear what was being said.

As for the class, I didn't get to touch a single thing in preparation or cooking. Two or three people got to do a little spice grinding - again, those who pushed their way to the front. The rest was purely demonstration.

Unfortunately, it was also hard to see much of the demonstration as a lot of people pushed right up close to the table edge, so only about 10 or so could fit around. The rest had to try and peer over shoulders or just hang back. Since I'm 5'1, there was no way I was seeing over anyone's shoulder - I stood on a chair for a while, but gave up eventually.

It was a nice enough meal at the end, but even that was cramped with so many people squished in around the big dining table. By that stage I was so bored and annoyed that I'd have been better off just going out for a nice lunch somewhere. There's no way I could replicate anything cooked on the day as I didn't see enough and didn't do any part of the prep or cooking.
