Thanks for your JBR, you managed most of the scams and pitfalls together with all the good stuff extremely well.
Have a look at Sanur for next time, lovely walks along the beach without the hassels, all sorts of different restaurants and much more european and great for bike riding along the beach, dining looking over the beach etc etc or you could try Lovina which is really laid back and there are lovely springs to swim in, waterfalls to see, cooking schools to go to, and it definitely is much more laid back
