Hi, we've done this. WELL WORTH THE STAY THERE! We've got two young kids but met others with no kids. I think anyone would enjoy it. The accommodation is beautiful, exactly like on their website. We stayed in the 2 brm Kifaru room, it was lovely and overlooked the pool area with still a view over to the left where the rhino? was.
I think we checked in ~ 2pm. We then went into the park for a couple of hours. Was great to do the animal safari bus tour in the pm as the animals were alot more active. It is great going into the park 1st thing in the am ~9am just as it opens as you are just about the only ones there and see the animals arrive and get plenty of time to spend with them before others come. We spent ages feeding the baby elephant and watching the keepers play with him before anyone else came.
The restaurant wasn't the cheapest I've eaten at but not the most expensive either. Just be selective what you order. I think I had like a ?chinese taster plate which was awful, probably not a good choice in Bali. Others raved about the lamb rack or maybe indonesian food. B/F was a huge buffet spread when we were there with everything you can imagine although I think I've read on here that sometimes they don't have that and you just order from the staff - it may depend on the number of guests staying? Also, tip, B/f opens at 8am. Be there right on 8am as this is when they let the lions out (not 8.30 like someone said but it prob changes). Was wonderful watching them as they came out 1st thing, stretching and drinking from the water right at the window. They then retreated further back into the enclosure. You can still see them but not the closeup that you get when they first come out in the am. You can also request a table right at the window - tables 4 & 5 were good from memory.
If you mean the night safari that is 10US and you go thru the lion enclosures and feed the zebras I think it is any night. If you want to do it I assume they take you. I can't recommend it highly enough. We went in a jeep type vehicle (with windows) and had buckets of carrots to feed the zebras. They were IN the car. Had to shut the window to keep them out. Totally covered in zebra breath and saliva. Was a brilliant experience tho. Had the driver and also another guide with us in the back. Was ~ 1/2 hr and worth every cent.
You can book the accommodation online with them or look at Agoda, Wotif etc... They usually include accom, b/f and park entry and sometimes some other extras. We went thru Agoda and whilst it didn't state that it included park entry it did. Was just park entry and 1 x safari tram ride tho not entry to the water park or rides at the Park. You can pay extra to go into those areas but having been before we just used the lovely pool at the Lodge. We stayed 1n and found this ok. Most I would stay would be 2n. The other couple we met were there for 3n but I think that's too much. There's not really anything else nearby and nowhere else in the vicinity to eat.
Enjoy - any others ?'s or photos I'll leave my email open. : )
