AA flights and Boogey Boards???

Has anyone recently flown AA to Bali and taken a kids boogey board? Were you charged extra and how much? Am travelling on the 3rd and have read conditions which mention sporting equip charges but not sure if a boogey board counts as a surf board. many thanx.
