I assume that as you are staying at Bedegul you know what there is to do,but just in case,here are my suggestions. Before you reach Bedegul look out for the so called Ghost Palace. Slip the security guys 10 or 20,000 rp and go in to look at one of the most amazing unfinished places in Bali!
There are some interesting walks around the lake....the WW2 Japanese caves are worth a look.
At Candicuning the markets are well worth a visit. Good food in many of the places here,but my favorite is Crackers,with their famous toilets in the corner of the market. Great burger & fries plus icy cold Bintang. The local Botanical Gardens is a great place to spend a relaxing day. The treetop walk has been built since I was there and sounds like fun.
