Had two nights at Kuta townhouses December 15th - first time there after seeing all the recomendations for it. Looked thru them in July and decided to book just two nights to do some shopping before heading up to Ubud for five nights. I can't really fault the townhouses, nice room, nice bed, nice, pool, nice staff, good location,breakfast was ok however we did find our room a little noisy as it was on the gang side and the traffic went till late and started early. It really wasn't our style have decided that we prefer the balinese style accomadation. Some friends of ours were staying at the kuta puri cottages in Poppies 1 and we had a look at them and they looked perfect for us around the same price too and balinese style.
Ubud Bungalows were more to our liking. Beautiful kept gardens, traditional doors and rooms. OUrs had aircon and was the second room and was a single. MOst are two storey. Nice pool, lovely breakfast area, breakfast ok, staff were pleasant enough but the place had a lovely feel to it. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Great location for us on Monkey Forest road. We will stay there again.
