yes there flights to and from Epserance are riduculous. I got a price for my 4 year old to return with my mother as we are off to Epseracne for Xmas one way from Perth(1.50hr flight cheapest seat was $335.00 one way. I emailed Skywest and said I could fly to Sydney one way or Bali return for that and their reply comment was those prices are entrance level only and as Skywest have over 30 years experience they know their market and can charge those prices. They also blamed havong sdmaller planes and airport taxes for the high costs. They did say they are currently in talks with local councils to offer discounted prices for flights to locals - so time will tell. No competion so no incentive to offer value for money flights.
