Hard to compare 2 really as completely different ingredients in both but have both similar and different actions. BUT each to own.. as many have said different approaches work for different people.
Travelan IS for PREVENTING bugs NOT for curbing the trots. It's methods is to coat the bowel wall and stop bacteria from entering and causing 'trots'. If you miss the dose and get ill then you will need something else to cure the trots. Travelbug is just similar to inner health plus pills and help make your inners more resistant but able to fight off the enemy!!
I always travel with antibiotic (Flagyl) or buy it over in Bali easily enough, use hand gels and now Travelan pills.
But pay attention to what your own system (and its history on past travels) is like to make your decision on what may work best for you.
Its all about trying to make an educated guess but also being prepared to take what you need to be able to get most out of your holiday.
