Take as much as you can afford, budget to suit your spendthrift or otherwise normal habits, and if you are skint at the end or bring money back at the end, so be it.
You will quickly learn to either up the ante or down the ante as you go along.
It's called budgeting.
Each families, couples and individuals requirements are unique to them....get out there and create your own.
