a lot depends on how many day trips or activities you will do, whether you buy in the shops or markets, if you drink lots of cocktails and where you choose to eat as some places are really really cheap and others are the same price a some cheaper restaurants in Australia. We know friends who always eat for $2 or $3 per meal and others who go to places like La Luciola that cost $20 to $30 or more per meal. There are so many gorgeous clothes there for children you will find yourself wanting to buy them so make allowances for that as well. I would rather go with too much than not enough.
