last night i was going out to dinner with some girlfriends, and i called Bluebird Taxi to get a cab to pick me up from my home.
upon arrival to my destination, it was raining heavily, and in the rush to get out of the cab and out of the rain, my handbag spilt open and the contents of my bag were left in the taxi. i did not realise this until the taxi was taking off.
immediately, i called Bluebird, and they managed to get hold of the driver and he promptly returned to the restaurant and handed over all of my belongings (the main items were cash, and my mobile phone).
of course, i tipped the driver handsomely and could not thank him enough.
i just thought i would post this as a good news item, and to prove that there are some absolutely wonderful Indonesians around. this lovely man saved me a heck of a lot of stress, and he saved my night.
i sent an email to Bluebird asking them to pass on my thanks to him as well, so I do hope he gets a little recognition for his good deed.
