Just back yesterday after 15 fabulous days in HOT sunny Bali. 12 of us went over for my daughters 21st in which we celebrated the night in Legends restaurant. What a hoot 'Yellow Band' are fantastic.
All stayed at the BGH and the Boardwalk cafe and surrounding pools are just superb. Could spend all day here.
The Bali Safari and Marine Park was great. Got to hold EFFIE the baby orangutang, she is so sweet. I reccomemd this place for a full days outing.
Some Restaurants we ate at...
B Couple- just down the road from BGH, nice food and good prices.
Indo-National- Only ate here to see what all the fuss was about from other formites. Nice restaurant but the food I had was very average.
Bubba Gumps- love this place but bali belly got in the way of me enjoying the night.
Legends- Cheap meals but very tasty. The funny waiters make this place the best as well as their entertainment nights.
Boardwalk Cafe- As said great place , nice meals, good prices.
Mozzarellas- On Padma rd. Very nice meals and lovely waitreses.
Went white water rafting and HUGE thanks to formites who said Bali International rafting had the least steps. I could not believe the amount we climbed. A quarter of the amount as some companies which was a big relief to our two 65 year old grandmas who did it.
Yes we bit the bullet and had a fish spa at Mataharis. Tickled like crazy for the first 30 seconds then after actually felt really good.
A friend who has dermatitis on his legs said it felt great after.
Many Balanese we spoke to are very concerned about the lack of rain. It only rained once heavy late at night for a few hours, then a 10 min pour early one morning. One guy even went as far to say someone or thing has put a curse on Bali and dried up all the rain. With no rain to wash out the drains some places were very stinky with backed up sewage.
The two weeks went far to quick so until next time we will miss you Bali and all the wonderful people.
Thanks for reading.
