If you scroll up this page to "search", click on, and put in Insurance Companies or Travel Insurance you should get some helpful information.
Personally I would stick to some of the larger more reputable ones and take NIL excess, simply because if you have several claims you have to pay the excess on each and every claim.
You will get quite a few recommendations and I have had a claims experience with CoverMor and found them very good.
Anyway a man of the world like yourself would probably know all that :)
