Excess varies from place to place.Generally Rp200 000 to Rp500 000. Some will quote US200 to US2000. Just decline & move on until you find a reasonable quote. For a few days I would be happy with Rp150 000 to Rp170 000. For longer term you can get them down to Rp120 000.

I usre Garlic rent a car or Wirasana. They may quote rediculous rates in US$ to begin with, just bargain them down to reasonable rate. I couldprobably chase up a phone number for Garlic if you need it. Wirasana e-mail is wirasana@dps.centrin.net.id
