Phuket in Jan. It was loaded with us dollars as we had to settle our villa in that currency. With all the up and down exchange rate for us to oz $ I grabbed the card when the rate was good a couple of months before our trip, the rate had dropped so it was a good thing I got it when I did. Friends carried cash but that makes me nervous. I did have money left on the card and used it at an atm I got a good exchange rate but was charged a transaction fee of a few $$$ can't remeber exactly. Same again in Singapore.
