Oh I just read this post. I never saw one Australian Trained nurse when Rhiannon was transferred to the International Wing on Day 12 of our stay. The international wing, is cleaner and nicer, but the level of care is still the same as Sanglah, we are talking about a 3rd world country here! One thing in my post I didn't mention was that when the Australian Nurses flew over and saw Rhiannon;s state, they demanded a chest X-ray on Rhiannon which took 4 hours to organise, much to our nurses frustration. When the X-ray came back and they showed it to me, with the Radioligist Typed Report, it said that Rhiannon's chest was NORMAL! Rhiannon's lungs had collapsed and she had Pnemonia and could barely breath. They emailed this X-Ray and report to Australia to the Chief Medical Officer of our Insurer (Mondial) and they couldn't believe it. This is the reason our Nurse's got her transferred to BIMC as they couldn't get the Medical Attention they required for Rhiannon at Sanglah and the International Wing. As a person who has been through this, my recommondation, would be to get your loved one back to your own country and out of there as soon as they are able! We are talking about a 3rd World Country, they try and do the best they can with what they have been given. Maybe our Government should have donated further Medical Education to go with the building of the ICU Unit and the International Wing?
