Haven't stayed there but at their related suites at Sanur. The hotel is not on the beach but has a shuttle bus that leaves regularly to take you to the hotel's facilities at the beach next to the bonsai cafe. This bus also goes via Hardy's supermarket and lots of guests walk up from the bonsai to stock up on drinks etc . If you read past posts regarding the suites you will find a mixed bag of views = personally (staying with 2 young sons at the time) the suites were great with all the extra room and the distance from the beach wasn't a problem as taxis were so cheap and readily available. Over the past few years however we ( couple in our 50s)have stayed at the Sanur Beach hotel which is excellent but prices for hotels right on the beach have gone up by 50% for the peak July season due to the return of tourists to Bali - this year we are staying at the Mecure because we refused to pay $120 a night at the Sanur Beach which is right next door.

Check out trip adviser as they can usually give you different booking agents rates for the same hotel as well as reviews and ratings for the PP hotel. If you decide to go for a place on the beach you will have to pay for the convenience but you might be in a better position in June before the school holiday crowds arrive.

Hope this has helped.
