rofl! as i work in an ED here in AUS and im sure I hear that said about our hospitals 10 times a day. In a crisis here you usually dont get a choice where the ambulance will take you ( usually nearest ED)and unless you are critical you may expect long delays in hospital waiting rooms or corridors, In Bali you get a choice at least where you want to be taken and if you are insured then the prospects are better. I believe the BIMC are excellent, and yes, if you have chest pains your blood tests get repeated many hours later!The costs of health care in Aus can amount to $1000's of dollars a day for even simple stuff so the BIMC is not really overcharging, it just seems so because everything else in bali is so cheap. I cant explain the treatment Shazza's daughter received, it sounded terrible but your thoughts are coloured when facing the prospect of losing someone you love.
