Okay, never done a JBR before, but as promised, some posters wanted to know how I went at the new hairdresser.
I have blonde hair with a lot of grey so I was going in to get the greys' tinted and some highlights as my hair goes white from the sun/surf/pool etc (foils).
Went to BudiSetiawan on the Ground Floor of Mall Bali Galleria
Costs
350,000 full head of foils
150,000 cut and blow wave
95,000 tint of my greys
Time: 3 hours
Overall opinion. Hubby picked me up and his first reaction was "it doesn't look any different, how much did it cost me?"
My opinion. He didn't have the very pale blonde (a lot of colours to choose from though) so I have actually roots were quite dark and there are 2 small patches that are almost red, looks like a mistake, looks like I did it myself (I don't part it there so can't see it, but I was giving my head a full examination in the name of BTF reporting).
Cut - brilliant, best cut I have a ever had, seriously, just asked for a trim but he cut it to suit my natural wave and the fact that I wear a motorcycle helmet most days and end up with helmet hair and with humidity and forget blow drying it is perfect for the conditions here, can just wash and leave it.
Toning of the greys, mmmm, yes around my face he has matched the greys to the blonde streaks but that's using the foils, but underneath there a lot of those sneaky grey hairs, but only looking up close.
Overall: very good, I will go back for a cut but not bother with paying for a toner, maybe just get him to do a few foils around my face and temples where my hair is naturally white (okay, grey).
There was an English girl in there having her hair blow dried and I noticed she had hair extensions (blonde) and I asked him about them and he said she had them done there, they looked very good, a perfect colour match to her hair colour and looked so neat when he pulled he hair up to blow-dry, not sure how much they cost.
Oh, I forgot to ask if they speak English, sorry. The colourists' name was Rory, another guy did the cut.
