Cotton backing really is essential with these doona covers. I had one made a few years ago and it hadn't occurred to me to get cotton back and the thing is totally useless. It just slides right off the bed, and the doona slides down inside the all-satin cover. It sits in the cupboard and never gets used.
Cotton backing makes the world of difference!
