Wife & 2 early adult daughters and me !( 3 against 1 )
Flew AA from Perth 5.25pm good flight arrived 10 mins early only to be parked at the end of the terminal and then bus to main terminal. Paid VOA $30.00 Aus and received change in Rup.(so easy !)Still in and out of terminal in 55 mins.( 5 staff at immigration)
Stayed at Kumala Pantai SG block 2 rooms top floor over looking the pool.
KP as good as ever, great staff & location. Seemed to be very busy but always got a table at breakfast and got pool lounges most days although they seem to run-out of pool towels by about 3.30pm daily.(life goes on)
Meals.
Good , Lanai-Zannibar-Wayan and friends-Mozerella-Indonational-Green garden
Not so good , Blue Ocean
Rate, as stated by others does seem to peak mid week. We started off with Sat at 8450rp then Tues up to 8650rp-Thurs peaked at 8750rp yet Fri,Sat back down around $8550rp. ??
Took over unlocked Nokia phone and purchased Mentari sim to make calls back to oz.So cheap to do it this way.
Went to Bali Safari park for the day, did all the usual stuff and yes girls got photos with the lion cubs.
Also went to Dynasty hotel one night just for the happy hour and to try those cocktail buckets. Yum Yum
Apart from that just chilled out and slipped into Bali time.
Did LOTS of shopping for xmas presents etc ,so much so that we had to buy 2 size 5 frangipani bags to bring all the goodies home.
Bought lots from Ketuts & Diannes (so much easier with fixed pricing)
Did some of my own shopping on the first day (wrong) and bought a couple of nice dress shorts 2 for 300rp bargain I thought, only to find the same shorts at Ketuts for 60rp each. From then on I stuck to buying Bintangs only!
No 1 daughter had 2 suites made at Janoko tailors, very happy with results and price.
Trip home uneventful through check-in at airport (weight o/k) flight with AA all good and arrived at Perth 15 mins early.
Now saving for next trip to Bali.
Thanks to all for the advice and info on this site it really does help (apart from me buying shorts)
