face the garden/carpark.
We stayed in room #101 (in Oct.)which was at the end and back(so no neighbours on one side)and next to the tennis court. It was a small room with single beds, ok sized bathroom and having requested a garden view room reception offered to change us in 2 days as was booked to capacity (even though it never seemed busy which was great). When the time came to change we decided against it as we rarely spent any time in the room anyway and though the garden view room was bigger it was on the 3rd floor and the bathroom was pretty small so we stayed put in our room we dubbed "the magic fridge" (great to come back to after a full day of shopping!)
Others we travelled with had rooms facing the concrete wall and were worse than ours as on the 2nd.and 3rd. floors and a pretty darn shabby veiw! One couple got transferred to a garden view on the ground which was in need of some serious TLC smelling of mould and cracks and they lack a bit of privacy on the ground floor as people a constantly walking past.
Having said all this absolutely loved this hotel and I'm returning with my family in Jan. husband and I and 1 teenager have booked a beach bungalow and older son and gf have booked a superior room and have requested a garden view/double bed on 2nd.or 3rd. floor.
Footnote : spent this past weekend at the Barossa Novotel and it just didn't compare to the LBH in any area! LBH cleanliness - fresh linen and top-end clean daily, service - go all out to please with a smile and food wise the complimentary breakfast is absolutely awesome, and of course the location right on the beach and a brief stroll to some of the best shopping and restaurants in Bali!! (ironically went the whole Bali trip without a stomach complaint and the first night at the Novotel 2 of us picked up a dose of food poisoning from the restaurant.....won't be back!
Hope you enjoy your stay at the LBH as much as we did!
Cheers!
