who is of mixed(Gado Gado as she says)blood(Indonesian/Dutch), said that I was way too soft in my bargaining, and told me to divide the amount asked for by 3, and then go to no more than half of the original asking price. Then if they will not agree, just say 'Mahal"(expensive) and start walking away, and they will come back to your price. That worked a treat for me. This was in Singaraja/Lovina area. Cheers Cheryl
